“Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?”
This is one question that I would have gotten terribly wrong had I tried answering it back in 2008 – a fresh graduate with a degree in Kinesiology, in my home country of Romania. I’ve since decided that our career paths are largely incidental.
I didn’t have a lot of plans for the future, common feature of young people my age. Ah, millennials!
I did not practice Kinesiology. I moved to Nevada, where I did something far more exciting and fun: I dealt cards. I met a lot of new people, I traveled and I made great friends. It was the best time of my life!
So how did I end up in Banking & Finance you might ask?
Well, I’m good with numbers, but I’m even better with people. Adding these two traits together makes me feel like I can make a difference and let’s face it, the industry is past due for a change.
I couldn’t tell people not to gamble their money in my previous job – I would have been fired on the spot. I could only hope that they were doing so responsibly. Now I can finally be part of a solution, as opposed to feeling like a part of the problem.
Don’t gamble with the biggest emotional and financial investment of your life – your home. Don’t sign documents that chip away at your financial freedom. Get educated. Ask for advice. Always ask for a second opinion.
Turn the odds in your favor by working with the right mortgage professional – someone that has both the insight knowledge and the desire to help.
I hope that person proves to be me. You can email me your questions or issues at [email protected] and bet I’ll have a solution. And some serious savings for you.
